lyrics

Doorbell

It was in the evening
I was in the kitchen
I heard the doorbell ring twice
I went to the hall, opened the door
There was a young man
Telling me something about
Food packages for Ukraine
I raised my arms, being sorry
I told him I was cooking supper
He said: That's okay, and then left
I shut the door, went to the kitchen
Went back to my cooking
A rissotto with pumpkin and garlic

A couple of weeks later I am ill
Suffering from corona or a flu
I'm laying on a couch in the livingroom
Then the doorbell rings
I get off the couch, to the hall
I open the door and I see
The same guy from weeks before
He asks me for money, for funding
For medical research for corona
Not for himself, of course
But for others who really suffer
I tell him I'm ill myself
And it's better for him to leave
Me being contagious and all
He gives me an incredible smile
And then sets off

Hop hop hop
Hop hop hop

I awoke with a head full of smoke
I drink my tea without the taste of leafs, without water

Hop, hop, hop
