HEATHLAND

from WARLOCK ENEMY by DUFFHUES

/

about

A horror tale in a nocturnal, sultry and swampy landscape, where witches hunt for souls.

lyrics

Heathland

I woke up in vast woods
under the spell of a dolmen
read the stars, headed south
into haunted heathland
where it's impossible
to keep a straight path

In the distance an owl called
ripping through the mist
afraid to walk into a bog
and drown in sucking mud
I stumbled and crawled
through the scrub and dirt

Then I heard them witches
them bitches of witches
their screams like broken glass
hunting me down in heat
in that cursed heathland
stopped me dead in my tracks

I looked for a place to hide
was lucky to find a hollow tree
inside I hid in the dark
waited for the witches to leave
the bitches came very close
I could see their devlish forms
from evil ether they were born
their demon shadow souls

the witches came very close
it seemed just a matter of time
before they would hear me
before they would smell me
before they would drag me out
and suck and rip me out of my life

my eyes got used to the dark
in the hollow there was a hole
in it a staircase going down
I took the chance and went in
But I can't tell you what I found
I can't tell you what I found
I'll never tell you what I found
