This song was inspired by a short story I wrote, its titled De Kil, and appears in my first collection of short stories De Kil (2022). In this story a police detective is mentioned, notjing more. This song is about that detective. After I wrote this song, I wrote another short story from yet another perspective, due to be published at a later moment.

MURDER CALL

Just another murder case
a cut off head, a ripped off face
burned bodies in a shallow ditch
skinned alive, cooked in pitch
sawed to pieces in an old shed
limbs and entrails in a plastic bag
poisened blood and acid rage
strangulation with a shoe lace
each one my murder case

Half a bottle just to fall asleep
smoked, single, blended, whatever it takes
the liquid medicine that is crystal clear
for the darkest and mudiest of dreams
the sleepless dark, the horror streams

I awake in the void
until the murder call
the murder calls
murder is calling

This morning a father and son
tied with rope, heavy with stone
under water for long winter months
the evidence's gone

They washed upon the shore
the water had pushed them out
from the deep, from the dark
away from outside of the light
I got no proof, but can you feel it

Box of bones
bucket of blood
bashed in skull
ripped out heart
cut off arms
chopped off legs
a bag of ears
a pile of heads
let it all rot, it will never stop
