When I get a phone call in the middle of the night, the first thing I think is that there's something wrong, somebody has died or had an accident. I answer with a racing heart, ready to receive the most devestating news. Now we all have mobile phones and we are reachable all the time. We can get terrible news 24/7, and not just by a call.

The telephone rang
in the middle of the night
I woke up in a shock
thought someone was dead
or had an accident
someone I liked or loved
but it was my grandma
who'd been dead
for many years
she called me to say
disaster was near
I told her What's new?
but she'd hang up
I guessed she called me
cause I'd ran outta luck
and she was right
she was so right
disaster came that night
the house burned down
my car blew up
I had nowhere to go
it all just stopped
they put me in jail
and then the madhouse
and they fed me pills
and liquid crazyness
in my veins and brain
chained me to a wall
in a windowless room
I thought I was dead
that I'd gone to hell
that I'd see grandma soon
she must be around here somewhere
then one day I just woke up
I thought I heard ringing
one of the nurses came to tell
I had a phone call and I asked
is it again outta hell?
but is was my brother
which is just the same
I mean, he's totally insane
he once chopped off
one of his pinky fingers
cooked it with onions
and ate it with soda and fries
he told me, he's gonna get me out
I asked him from where?
but he'd hung up
then I got truely scared
I told the doctor to lock me up
in a dark hidden room
in the deepest cellar
in ancient catacombs
with chains to the wall
refusing any call
and then forget about me
just leave me be
leave me be
in my premature grave
